Bevelled Edge Rings

A bevelled edge ring takes a simple band and cuts definition into its outline. The angled edges create extra surfaces for light to catch, giving tungsten and titanium rings a sharper, more engineered profile without adding unnecessary detail.

About Bevelled Rings

Bevelled edge rings: geometry at the edges

A bevel is an angled surface between two faces. On a ring, that means the edge is cut away from the main outer surface rather than meeting it at a simple square corner. The result can make a broad ring look more defined and visually break up the width.

The Black Tungsten 8B uses that geometry with a dark finish, while the Titanium 8B shows the same broad bevelled idea in a much lighter material. In some parts of the world it is spelled beveled, so you may also see it called a beveled edge ring.

Material changes the experience

A bevelled ring in tungsten carries more weight on the hand; titanium keeps the same angular idea much lighter. Browse all titanium rings if low weight is the priority, or compare brushed rings if surface texture matters as much as edge geometry.

Project Atomic rings use a comfort-fit interior. The bevel changes the outer edge and visual profile rather than replacing the need for correct sizing, so use the ring size guide before ordering.

Available sizes depend on the individual style. Most rings in the wider range run from M to Z+1, but always use the product page as the final specification.

Project Atomic uses bevelled profiles across selected tungsten and titanium rings. That makes it possible to separate the shape from the material: choose the geometry you like, then decide whether you want the substantial feel of tungsten or the much lighter experience of titanium.

The bevel can also make the width easier to read visually. Instead of one broad uninterrupted face, the ring is divided into a central surface and angled edges. On an 8mm ring, that gives the design structure without relying on an applied pattern.

The angled edge also creates a useful transition between the face and side of the ring, so the design changes as your viewing angle changes. It is a small geometric intervention, but on a simple metal band small changes are often the ones you notice most.

Questions

What is a bevelled edge ring?

A bevelled edge ring has an angled surface cut between the main face of the ring and its edge. That creates a more defined outline and adds another plane for light to reflect from. The bevel can be subtle or visually prominent depending on the width and overall profile.

Is a bevelled edge more comfortable?

A bevel changes the outer edge rather than the inner fit. Project Atomic rings use a comfort-fit interior, while the bevel gives the outside edge a more defined transition. Correct sizing and width still make the biggest difference to how the ring feels.

What widths do bevelled rings come in?

Widths vary by product. Project Atomic’s wider ring range includes 2.5mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm options, with bevelled styles available in selected widths. Check each product page for the exact combination of material, finish, width and ring size.

Which materials come with a bevelled edge?

Project Atomic offers bevelled-edge designs in tungsten and titanium. Available colours and surface finishes vary by product, including natural metal and black or brushed options within the wider ring range.
