The Sandblasted Tungsten 8B (8mm Bevelled Ring)

Tungsten carbide is very hard and resists everyday scratches far better than softer metals, but no ring is scratch-proof. Coated and plated finishes can also behave differently from the underlying tungsten carbide. Normal care is still sensible if you want to preserve the finish for as long as possible.

Project Atomic doesn’t offer resizing, and tungsten carbide is far too hard to stretch or cut down the way gold or silver can be. Choose your size with the ring size guide before ordering. If the fit is wrong, an unworn ring can be exchanged within 30 days.

The “F” is Project Atomic’s maker’s mark and stands for Fahrenheit. It is a nod to the extreme melting temperatures associated with the materials Project Atomic works with, and it is engraved inside every ring as a small piece of the brand’s material-science identity.

The finish gives the broad exterior a fine matte grain that diffuses light instead of producing a smooth reflection. Because the band is 8mm wide, there is a large uninterrupted area for that muted texture to be seen clearly across the centre of the ring.

The angled edges create defined changes in plane around the broad sandblasted face. That geometry frames the matte centre and adds structure to the profile, while the black-plated interior provides a separate colour contrast when the inside of the band is visible.
